Dr. Sandra Coiffman
Stress Management Specialist
Sandra has spend the last 30+ years working with families and children of all ages, from toddlers to seniors. She initially began her work as a Mommy and Me teacher, then as a counselor in the schools, and after obtaining her Doctorate Degree (Psy.D) worked as a clinical psychologist in Florida and Director of Clinical Services at the Mind Spectrum Institute, as well as founder of the Aventura Mindfulness Center.
She also has experience working with seniors, as Director of Resident Services at Vi, a Continuing of Care Retirement Community.
As an educator, she is a former Adjunct Faculty at the College of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University, where she taught Child and Adolescent Development and Supervision and Consultation courses to graduate students.
Serving the community is important to her, she volunteers with Foster Care Review, mentors with Women of Tomorrow, and serves as a facilitator for the Holocaust Documentation Center during their student awareness days.
She uses all her former experience in her current work. What she offers you in consultation is a combination of contemporary psychology, Eastern practices, yoga trainings and years of professional experience, knowledge, and expertise. She works from the perspective of a mother, grandmother and experienced professional having helped hundreds of families through the years.
In her free time you can find her at the beach, enjoying the wind and surf, in the water on her board or around town exploring.
Fluent in English and Spanish, and learning Hebrew :)
